Karnataka government authorities have sealed Jollywood Studios and Adventures, leading to the shutdown of the Big Boss Kannada 12, reality show filmed in the venue. All Bigg Boss contestants were asked to vacate the house, and they have been escorted outside the premises.

The Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 set at Jollywood Studios in Bidadi, Bengaluru, was sealed on October 7, 2025. This comes after the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) found severe environmental violations, including an inoperative sewage treatment plant and unapproved generator use. Officials from the Bengaluru South district, with police and KSRP forces, seized the property, stopped power supply, and evacuated contestants to the Eagleton Resort. Contestants are subjected to strict confinement rules continue and they are reportedly barred from using mobile phones, television, or any outside communication, and interaction is limited to fellow contestants and staff. As per reports, the studio had ignored two prior notices in 2024. The show, hosted by Kiccha Sudeep, which is airing on Colours Kannada since September 28, has been halted indefinitely.

The KSPCB ordered an immediate closure notice after confirming that untreated wastewater from the amusement center and studio complex was being discharged directly into the environment, causing pollution in the surrounding areas. Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre has revealed that the studio had received two prior notices, on March 8, 2024, and June 11, 2024, but failed to follow with the norms. “Nobody is bigger than law, Vels Studios and Entertainment was issued notice by Ramanagar Regional officers in March 2024. I have got information that they do not have permissions under the Water and Air Acts, which are required. I have spoken to officers. They have not bothered to obtain permission and have not even cared to apply in this regard," he added.

Colours Kannada has issued a public apology for the disruption in broadcast. Producers of the show are reportedly exploring alternative locations to resume shoot.
