One of the rumoured Marvel television series slated to begin next year is Champions. Said to be in early development, the Disney+ series would see the return of popular Marvel Cinematic Universe characters
like Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). In a recent interview, Steinfeld spoke about her participartion in the series.

Steinfeld was first introduced as Kate Bishop, Clint Barton's protégée, in Hawkeye, co-starring Jeremy Renner, in November 2021. The character is one of many rumoured to make a cameo in next year's Avengers: Doomsday starring Robert Downey Jr. It has also been rumoured that she and a few of the other Young Avengers characters will move on to the series Champions.The Disney+ series is listed as an upcoming role on her IMDb page. When asked about her joining the show, Steinfeld told Variety, "I saw that! You’re telling me anyone can just update IMDb now? Because part of me was like, 'Is this someone random just throwing stuff out? I love that family. I’m so grateful to be a part of it. Anytime they need me, they know where to find me."While Steinfeld did not confirm her return as Kate, she did not deny it either. Shrinking's Rachna Fruchbom is attached to the series as writer and executive producer on Champions. While the cast is not confirmed as yet, the characters of Kamala Khan, Kate Bishop, Riri Williams, America Chavez, Wiccan, and Cassie Lang are expected to be part of the series. Marvel is cutting down on the number of TV series they are producing per year and have yet to make an official announcement.
