Mohanal's speech at the podium

At the award ceremony, Mohanlal delivered a speech with humility and pride. He said, “It is with profound pride and gratitude that I stand before you today, having received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, an honour instituted by the Government of India in the name of the revered father of Indian cinema.” He acknowledged the significance of being only the second person from Kerala to receive the award, describing it as a moment not just for him, but for the entire Malayalam film fraternity. He called the recognition a tribute to the legacy, resilience, and creativity of the industry he has been a part of for decades.

It’s magical, it’s sacred. I never imagined receiving this honour, not even in my wildest dreams.” He went on to say that he sees the award as a representation of everyone who has shaped and enriched Malayalam cinema with their vision and dedication.Concluding his speech on a poignant note, Mohanlal said, “I accept this award as the blessing of the legendary masters of Malayalam cinema, past and present. As an actor, this honour deepens my commitment to the art of cinema. I pledge to move forward with renewed responsibility and dedication.”
