In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sara opened up about the time she felt overwhelmed about everything happening around her. "There was a time when I was feeling really overwhelmed; mentally, emotionally, just everything piling up at once," she shared.However, it was during that phase where Sara realised that little things like spending time with your mother, and more can help one bring back to themselves. Having said that, the actress also believes therapy can help one keep their mental well-being in check."I genuinely believe therapy can be a really helpful tool, not just when you’re struggling, but even when things are going okay. It gives you a safe space to reflect, to understand your emotions better, and to just be honest with yourself," she added.
Sara Ali Khan on stigma around mental health
In the same conversation, Sara addressed the stigma around mental health. "It’s heartening to see that the generation today believes in talking about their mental well-being, but the hesitation to seek therapy shows that stigma still exists," she said.The actress added that people must normalise conversations around mental well-being just like they talk about physical health.
