Farrukhabad Coaching Centre Blast Kills 2, Remains Found 80m Away — What Triggered the Explosion?
Farrukhabad: A massive explosion rocked a coaching centre in Farrukhabad on Saturday, October 4, leaving two students dead, according to news agency ANI. Five others were critically injured and are currently
receiving medical treatment. Some of the severely injured have been referred to a higher medical centre for better care. The impact of the blast was so powerful that it affected students far from the site. Reportedly, debris and human remains were found as far as 80 metres away.Police, fire brigade, and senior officials quickly reached the scene. Rescue efforts are ongoing, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion.
What Caused The Blast?
Police say that the blast occurred likely due to excess concentrated methane in the septic tank located in the basement, reported ANI.
An eye-witness shared, "If I tell you about my experience, today I heard the loudest sound of my life. I couldn’t understand what had happened in that moment. Everyone suddenly thought it was a terrorist attack. People started running in panic, screaming. Those who were injured were lying on the ground..."
Uttar Pradesh CM Takes Cognisance
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath) took cognisance of the unfortunate accident that occurred in Farrukhabad. He directed officials to reach the spot immediately and expedite relief operations, ensuring that the injured receive prompt medical treatment. The Chief Minister also extended his wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
