the blockbuster success of Jawan, filmmaker Atlee is gearing up to entertain audiences once again with his upcoming project AA22 x A6, starring Deepika Padukone and Allu Arjun. At a recent event for an advertisement directed by Atlee, Ranveer Singh praised the director and shared his excitement for the next film.

Ranveer Singh lauds Atlee’s vision

At an event, Ranveer Singh expressed his admiration for Atlee, and said, “Before he became a household name with Jawan and the biggest director in India, I had messaged him after the release of Mersal and said, ‘Sir, I love your cinema. You should come to Mumbai, and we should make some movies together.’ I have always wanted to collaborate with Atlee sir. He’s been such a dear friend to me over the years.”Speaking specifically about AA22 x A6, Ranveer added, “It’s always great hanging out with him and working with him and his super-duper awesome team. Being in front of the lens of Mr GK Vishnu is such an honour and delight. I happened to visit him on the set of his current film because my wife was shooting with him. Atlee promises groundbreaking project

Earlier, Atlee had shared with India Today Digital that AA22 x A6 is set to be “very new, intriguing, and addictive to watch.” The director is collaborating with Hollywood technicians, who also described the project as highly challenging, reinforcing Atlee’s ambition to deliver a truly cinematic spectacle.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, the film was officially announced on Allu Arjun’s 43rd birthday in April 2025. The sci-fi actioner marks Allu Arjun’s return to the big screen after the success of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Deepika Padukone is set to play a lead role with an action-packed avatar. The film is currently in production, generating immense excitement among fans.
