Reply 1988 is heading to mark its 10 years with a special gift for fans. The cast of the beloved K-drama, which aired in 2015-2016, are preparing a commemorative song for the big celebration. The show

that streams of Netflix is set to celebrate a decade with its team heading out for a group retreat later this month. Reply 1988 starred an ensemble cast with Park Bo-Gum, Hyeri, Ryu Jun-Yeol, Go Kyung-Pyo and Lee Dong-Hwi playing the main 5 friends.

Special commemorative song

It was revealed in September 2025, that its cast will jet off to Gangwon Province on October 12 and 13. PD Na Young Seok and the production unit of his show Egg Is Coming will also accompany the Korean show's team to film the retreat as a variety program. As per latest update, the drama's director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung are currently working out the plan to capture the event.On October 2, JTBC Enter News reported that the production team is also discussing producing a song with some actors who'd be there for the retreat expected to perform vocally. It stated that the news has been sent to the actors who are more than willing to participate. More details about its release schedule and number of tracks are yet to be announced.

Cast members attending retreat

More than 10 cast members of tvN fan-favourite show will go on a 1-night, 2-day retreat. While most of the core members are said to be joining, fans are curious about Lee Hyeri and Ryu Jun-Yeol's presence. The two actors were part of the main leads, and dated after the show for several years until ending it on a not very pleasant note in 2023. Ryu Jun-Yeol's absence

As per Korean media, while Hyeri's agency confirmed that she will attend the trip with the cast. Ryu, however will give it a miss. The actor's representative to OSEN that the reunion date is clashing with his filming schedule for his upcoming K-drama, The Rat.
