Idli Kadai: Trailer Of Dhanush's Film To Launch On THIS Date

fourth directorial venture, Idli Kadai, in which he also plays the lead, is all set to release on October 1. Ahead of the release, the makers announced that they will launch the trailer of the much-anticipated in Coimbatore.

According to the latest update, the trailer will be launched on September 20 at an event in Coimbatore.

Taking to their X handle, the makers dropped a post revealing the trailer release date. “Kovai, Get ready for a feast #IdliKadai – Trailer launch event on 20th September at Prozone Mall in Coimbatore Massive release worldwide on the 1st of October.’ Along with the announcement, a motion poster of the film was also released.

Dhanush Talks About Idli Kadai

Talking about why he named the film Idli Kadai, Dhanush said his fondness for Idly can be traced back to his childhood. "As a kid, I always craved Idlies every single day, but we couldn’t afford them. So we started picking flowers from the neighbourhood. The money we get will be based on the amount of flowers we bring in everyday. My sister, cousins and I would wake up at 4 am to do this for over two hours. We'd get a little over Rs 2 each for the jobs. Then, we'd head to a local pump set, bathe and walk with just a towel on the main road. For that money, we would get four to five idlies. Nothing can beat the satisfaction and taste of eating food from our own hard-earned money," .

Dhanush stars as Murugan in Idli Kadai, which marks his fourth directorial. The star cast includes Nithya Menen as Kayal, Sathyaraj as Vishnu Varadhan, Arun Vijay as Ashwin, Samuthirakani as Marisamy, Rajkiran as Sivanesan, Shalini Pandey as Meera and Parthiban as R Arivu. The technical crew comprises of music by GV Prakash. The film's cinematographer is Kiran Koushik, editor GK Prasanna, and art director Jackson.
