While he could never reprise the character for a third time in his web-slinging Marvel superhero franchise following The Amazing Spider-Man (2019) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), the amount of love he received for his special appearance in Tom Holland-led Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) brought back hopes. Now, there is strong speculation that'll do it again in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Andrew's possible return as Spider-Man

Reacting to the rumours and his possible return as Spider-Man in Marvel's mega crossover tentpole, Andrew told MTV, "You’ll find out! Whatever response I’m having, is it exasperation? Is it? I don’t know. You’ll find out."With opening up of the multiverse and Tom Holland's Peter Parker tampering with the timelines, it gave way to both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield crossing over to the Sacred Timeline as Spider-Mans from their world in Spider-Man: No Way Home. This brought another opportunity for Andrew to play the superhero who's remain closed to his heart.

Andrew wishes to crossover with more Marvel characters

In the interview, while Andrew expressed desire to crossover with more Marvel characters, now that he is part of the MCU timeline. "Yeah, I love Hugh Jackman," he said referring to the X-Men veteran who came back as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). Andrew also picked Tom Hardy's Venom. He shared, "Tom Hardy is obviously a really formidable actor, and what he's done with Venom is super fun. I'm up for a good time."Praising the animated Spider-Verse films, Andrew said, "I really love the Spider-Verse movies. I love Lord and Miller. Just putting that out there."
