Known for her iconic portrayal as the 'OG Naagin', Ghosh will now be seen as Maya, a character she describes as layered, real, and far removed from the stereotypical black-and-white negative roles often seen on Indian television.

Speaking about her role, Ghosh told TellyTalkIndia, “This is not a typical negative character. It’s a very complex and real character. Life is real. It’s all perspective-oriented… apart from the basic bads like hurting someone or using abusive language, my character has a lot of emotional depth.”Jagadhatri draws inspiration from Goddess Durga and focuses on themes of female empowerment, showcasing strong and multidimensional women. Ghosh shared, “Jagadhatri is a form of Maa Durga… the character embodies the strength of a mother, the power of a daughter, and the courage to stand against injustice.” She emphasised the significance of bringing authenticity to her role, “Bringing a character to life is an actress’s job.
