For a rather religious country like India- it’s no shocker that devotees often leave no opportunity to find something or the other around festivals- that quickly gets the label of being ‘magical’. Something similar happened with this old video getting viral- which many were quick to connect with one of the most hailed Hindu festivals- Navratri. The clip in question was shared a while back, but resurfaced around the day of Navratri- a festival that worships Hindu goddesses. The video first showed a tiny but well-decorated Devi Maa temple on a roadside in Gujarat's Gir. The clip was being recorded at night- due to which the well-lit temple was the only thing that grabbed the attention. However, as soon as the vehicle- from which the video was being recorded-
moved forward, something else entered the frame– that was simply too mesmerising; a lion and lioness calmly resting in front of the Goddess temple! Headlights flashing the ‘guarding’ duo only turned the video somewhat cinematic. For those failing to understand the connection, the much-preached Hindu goddess Durga is mostly depicted with a lion. As per believes, Devi Durga rides a lion or a tiger, as a ‘symbol of power, strength, and victory over evil’. Coming to Navratri, the festival began on September 22 and will culminate on October 02. Today- September 25- is the 4th day of Navratri- which celebrates Goddess Kushmanda. Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the post.
