Firoz Nadiadwala to launch family universe on father's birth anniversary
Talking to Mid-Day, Firoz Nadiadwala explained, "There are cop, horror, and spy universes, but after years of work, we have created a universe of all genres for the family audience. We will make sequels and prequels of Aan: Men at Work [2004], Awara Paagal Deewana, Deewane Huye Paagal [2005], and new editions of the Welcome and Hera Pheri franchise. We’ll also have new movies. All the films will be clean and larger-than-life. That’s why I call it the ‘Family Universe’, which will have new and older actors joining in and crossover characters.”When Firoz got Kapil Sharma in Rs 25 crore legal case
Last week on September 20, the filmmaker put a legal case against comedian-actor Kapil Sharma over a skit featuring Hera Pheri’s iconic character, Baburao. He accused Sharma of using names without permission. In an official statement, Firoz Nadiadwala said, “Baburao is not just a character, but the soul of Hera Pheri. This legacy was built with our sweat, vision, and creativity. Paresh Rawal ji nurtured the role with his heart and soul. No one has the right to misuse it for commercial gain. Culture is not for exploitation; it is for preservation.”Meanwhile, the Kapil Sharma show's team is yet to react to the complaint. Further details are awaited.Do you find this article useful?
