According to a report in The Wrap, the third season was the most-watched TV season ever among women ages 18 to 34 on Amazon Prime Video. The show's viewership rose 65 per cent from Season 2. Furthermore, Season 3 was the show's number one title in the world and stayed number one in 140 countries. The coming-of-age drama was a big international hit, with 60 per cent coming from countries like the UK, Germany, and Brazil.

The Summer I Turned Pretty was a big hit on social media as well; Season 3 had 915 million social engagements, 48 billion impressions, and 2.8 billion views. The romance drama generated 2.5 times more engagement than other Amazon Prime Video titles and was the second most talked-about series at 4.3 million, behind Hazin Hotel at 7.7 million. The show also caused a boost to the artists whose songs were featured in the show, including Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
