The Durga Puja pandal hosted annually by the Mukherjee family in Mumbai has always been a grand affair, drawing some of the biggest names from the film industry. This year’s celebrations were no different,
with stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Genelia Deshmukh, and Jaya Bachchan already making appearances. On the auspicious occasion of Maha Navami, it was Alia Bhatt who graced the pandal, along with Karan Johar.
Alia gets mobbed by fans
As soon as Alia arrived, fans gathered in large numbers, calling out her name and rushing for selfies. Amid the frenzy, a woman aggressively pulled Alia’s hand, demanding a photograph. The actress, momentarily taken aback, handled the situation calmly. Despite the uncomfortable encounter, Alia continued to smile and oblige fans with selfies, earning praise for her composure and humility.
Inside the pandal, Alia was seen joining the celebrations with Rani Mukerji, Ayan Mukerji, and Tanishaa Mukerji. Dressed in a traditional olive-green lehenga with a silver border paired with a white blouse, she accessorised her look with red bangles. She prayed to the goddess and interacted with fellow guests. Adding more star power to the gathering, Karan Johar also made an appearance, dressed in a vibrant red kurta set. He was seen exchanging hugs with Rani Mukerji, chatting with the Mukerji family, and striking poses with Ayan Mukerji as paparazzi clicked away.
