Jiiva's 45th film with Malayalam film director Nithish Sahadev of Falimy-fame has been titled Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil. The first look of the film released on 1st October, Wednesday on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja which features Jiiva being held against his will.

Apart from Jiiva, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil also stars Prathana Nathan and Thambi Ramaiah in the cast. Other actors who are part of the cast and plot details are yet to be announced.On the technical front, the film has music by Vishnu Vijay, cinematography by Bablu Aju and editing by Arjune Babu. Apart from directing it Nithish Sahadev has also written the story along with Sanjo Joseph and Anuraj OB. Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil is produced by Kannan Ravi and co-produced by Deepak Ravi.

Nithish Sahadev made his directorial debut with the 2023 Malayalam comedy drama Falimy which won critical fame. The film starred Basil Joseph, Jagadish, Manju Pillai, and Sandeep Pradeep as a family who goes to Varanasi on a pilgrimage. The hurdles they face and the conflicts they have form the rest of the story.Jiiva was last seen in Pa Vijay's Aghathiyaa. His upcoming work includes, director KG Balasubramani's film. The director made the critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller Black (2024). The actor is also set to reunite with his Siva Manasula Sakthi director, M Rajesh, for a new film. The film will have music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja also joining hands with the lead actor and filmmaker.
