Post Homebound's Oscars 2026 Submission, Vishal Jethwa Willing To Explore Hollywood, But Isn't 'Chasing' It | EXCL

Vishal Jethwa, who gained popularity with television, is climbing the ladder of success in Bollywood with the right script choice. His latest film, Homebound, is India’s official entry to the Oscars 2026.

After television and Bollywood, Vishal is keen on exploring projects in Hollywood as well. Talking to Zoom exclusively, the actor said he is open to international films, but not chasing them aggressively.

In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Vishal said, “I am open to doing Hollywood films, but I am not chasing them. Mere saath global film ka tag jud chuka hai toh mujhe Hollywood mein kaam karna hai, aise nahi soch raha hu main. Mere life mein best kirdaar joh bhi aayega, voh karunga. Voh chahe Hindi ho, South ho ya Hollywood, meri iccha bhi hai ki Gujarati cinema bhi karu. Main har tarike ka cinema karna chahta hu.”(Translation: I am open to doing Hollywood films, but I am not chasing them. Though my filmography has Homebound's global success, I am not aiming only Hollywood projects. I want to do the best characters, even if that's in Hindi, down South or Hollywood. Vishal's reaction to Oscars 2026 submission

Talking about Homebound’s submission for Oscars 2026, Jethwa shared, “Ummeed toh hai ki Homebound jeete. Lekin main chahta hu ki sabse zyada deserving film ko award mile. Chahe voh koi bhi country se ho. Main chahta hu ki fair decision ho. Usse zyada meri expectation aur hope nahi hai.”(Translation: I hope Homebound wins. But, I want the most deserving film to win the Oscars 2026. It may be from any country. I look forward to a fair decision here. I don’t have any other expectations.)He further added, “Main toh itne mein hi khush hu ki joh hua voh accha hua aur hope karta hu ki aage bhi accha ho. Main kisi achievement ke liye wait nahi kar raha hu khush hone ke liye.”(Translation: I am content with whatever we have achieved till now. I am looking forward to better things hereon.
