
Train services on the Rayagada-Visakhapatnam section were disrupted after huge boulders and mud damaged the railway track following landslides triggered by heavy rains. According to sources, a landslide occurred near the Goddess Majhighariani temple in Odisha's Rayagada district, causing the railway tracks to collapse. Rayagada Divisional Railway Manager Amitabh Singhal, along with other senior railway officials, are at the spot and overseeing the repair of the damaged tracks.In Koraput, large boulders blocked the railway line between Dumuriput and Damanjodi. On the Visakhapatnam-Koraput rail section, an uprooted tree fell on high-voltage power lines between Tyda and Chimidipalli, further disrupting rail operations.Similarly, train services on the Rayagada and Koraput routes
were affected as tracks were submerged in rainwater at Liliguma and Bhalumaska. The Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express was stopped at Kothaguda due to heavy waterlogging on the tracks. The Rourkela Intercity was also reported to be running late.
