Instagram Update: Users Will See Reels First, Not Posts, Here's All That Will Change
Instagram has been working on new features to make the user experience better over time. Now, the Meta-owned social media app is introducing a Reels-first interface for its smartphone app in India. As
claimed by the company, the new layout will be more focused on Reels and will directly open the Reels feed as the app is launched. As of now, the feature is being tested with selected users and has not been completely rolled out. The Reels-first section will change the main page layout of Instagram that we used to see when opening the app. For your information, the stories will be visible and remain at the top of the feed like always. On the other hand, the direct messages will shift into the navigation bar for better access. Instagram has vouched that the new layout will make it easy for users to navigate on the app.
