Previously, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma demanded their statements be recorded before October 6. According to the latest development in the probe, Sarma and Mahanta have been taken into custody.

As per PTI’s report, Shyamkanu was arrested on his arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi from Singapore, while Siddharth was nabbed from an apartment in Gurugram.
