Ahead of the nationwide release of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari on October 2, new updates suggest that the Central Board of Film Certification has reduced the kissing scenes in the film by 60% and muted
the word 'guard' wherever it appeared. Apart from these two changes, the film has been cleared in its entirety.

As per Bollywood Hungama, CBFC has passed Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari after just two changes. The one being muting the word 'guard' wherever it appears, and secondly the lip-lock visuals were reduced by 60%. Lastly, the makers were asked to add the anti-alcohol static. With this, the film passed with U/A 13+ certificate, and now it has become 135.45 minutes long. During the India Today conclave, Varun Dhawan spoke about the film's big clash with Kantara Chapter 1, as both of them will be releasing on October 2. He said, "Honestly, while setting the release date, Dharma Productions, who have been making films for so many years, picked October 2. It’s a huge date because it’s both Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. So, overall, the business expected on this day will be much bigger than a normal Friday. Almost Rs 70 crore worth of business is available to be done in Hindi alone."
