What is the story about?

Political
strategist-turned-Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor has predicted a tough road ahead for the ruling NDA in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, asserting that the alliance is "headed for defeat." While Kishor has ruled out contesting himself, he says his party will focus on organisation-building and he has already done the math on how the numbers could play out.A political party or alliance needs to win at least 122 of the total 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly to form the government in the state. So here's PK's predictions:
'NDA is set for a certain defeat'
Prashant Kishor has said that the ruling NDA is set for a certain defeat in Bihar and called out the BJP-led coalition over its inability to finalise seats and candidates. Kishor was referring to murmurs that some leaders within NDA are unhappy over seat-sharing and candidate selection. Two of NDA's alliance partners have expressed displeasure over the seat sharing arrangement. Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha on Tuesday claimed that "this time, nothing is well in NDA", while Union minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi said that this party had been "undervalued".'Nitish Kumar won't return, JDU will struggle to get even 25 seats'
Prashant Kishor, who has worked closely with the JD(U) chief, first as a poll strategist and later as a party colleague, also predicts a grim future for Nitish Kumar. According to Prashant Kishor, Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) would struggle to win even "25 seats" in the 243-strong assembly. JD(U) is part of the NDA alliance in Bihar. "The NDA is definitely on its way out and Nitish Kumar will not return as chief minister", asserted Kishor, in an exclusive interview with news agency PTI.'Congress hanging on to RJD, tiff never ending'
It doesn't seem that good for the INDIA bloc either, according to Prashant Kishor. "The situation is no better in the INDIA bloc either. There is a never-ending tiff between RJD and the Congress," he said.Kishor has often said that Rahul Gandhi and Congress have "no respect" in Bihar. "They are just hanger-on parties of RJD and supporters of Jungle Raaj... Who is taking Rahul Gandhi seriously? He is taken seriously just because he is LoP in Lok Sabha and a big Congress leader... Is anyone watching him? Is there any impact in the state? ... They want votes from Bihar's people..." he had said earlier. For his own party
For Jan Suraaj, Kishor said that his party will either be a winner or face a "drubbing" in the Bihar Election. He expects "either fewer than 10 seats or more than 150 seats" for the Jan Suraaj, "nothing in between".When asked about his party's prospects in the elections, the 48-year-old told PTI, "I can say with certainty that we will be either winning handsomely or receiving a drubbing.""I have been stating on record that I expect a tally of either fewer than 10 seats or more than 150 seats. There is no possibility of anything in between," Prashant Kishor said.Kishor added, "A tally less than 150, even if it is 120 or 130, shall be a personal defeat for me."Polling for the first round will be held on November 6, while the second and final phase covering 122 seats is scheduled for November 11. Counting of votes will take place on November 14. The filing of nomination papers began on Friday (October 10) for the first phase of the Bihar assembly elections, covering 121 constituencies.Do you find this article useful?
