Wicked For Good Final Trailer: Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande Musical Gears Up For Epic Conclusion - Watch

Wicked: For Good is set to feature former friends Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda's (Ariana Grande) final facedown. The first part Wicked was released in 2024 and showed how the roommates became estranged.

The final trailer of Wicked: For Good, directed by Jon M Chu, sees the two finally confront each other for a long overdue conversation. Check out the new trailer below!

Wicked: For Good final trailer sets up epic showdown between Elphaba and Glinda

On X (formerly Twitter), Chu teased, "See you soon for one last ride…" Galinda is now Glinda the Good, and her celebration in Oz is interupted by the Wicked Witch of the East, aka Elphaba, who informs the doting public of a message written in the clouds. It says, "Our wizard lies," as the two schoolmates keep running into one another. Elphaba is seen confronting Glinda and telling her she has "no real power."

The movie also teases a glimpse of Dorothy and her dog Toto as they land in Oz and Erivo singing No Good Deed. Other shots include Jonathan Bailey's Fiyero, who is set to marry Glinda but finds himself drawn to Elphaba as well. Will Elphaba be able to expose the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum)?The official synopsis states, "As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good."

The first Wicked film grossed over $700 million globally, and the sequel is projected to surpass the previous movie. At the 97th Academy Awards, Wicked was nominated for 10 Oscars, including Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Supporting Actress. It won two awards for Best Achievement in Production Design and Best Achievement in Costume Design. Wicked: For Good will have two new songs, No Place Like Home and The Girl in the Bubble, composed by Stephen Schwartz. The soundtrack will be released on November 21, the same day as the film.
