During the ceremony, his popular song Mayabini played across the crematorium grounds, with well-wishers joining in, singing along, and paying an emotional tribute to the beloved artist. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was present at the funeral. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "The last time that I got to see #BelovedZubeen.
