The Korea Popular Culture And Arts Awards gave out the big honours to the winners this week. The government felicitation recognises work of artists in various fields who have contributed in promoting Korean
culture and arts both domestically and worldwide. While actress Kim Hae Sook was given the highest honour of the day, the Eungwan Order of Cultural Merit, G-Dragon made history by becoming the youngest recipient ever of the Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit.The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on October 15 that a total of 31 individuals and teams will be recognised at the prestigious award ceremony, which took place on October 23 at the Haeoreum Grand Theater. It was hosted by actor Kim Min Kyu and announcer Park Sun Young.
