Donald Trump’s trade advisor, who has been accused by former US NSA John Bolton of creating a rift between India-US ties, targeted New Delhi again but with a changed tone, a day before top Washington negotiator Branden Lynch visit to India to discuss a trade deal.During an interview with CNBC, Peter Navarro spoke on India-US trade talks, saying that India is coming to the table and mentioned PM Modi’s conciliatory and constructive tweet, as well as President Donald Trump’s response to it."India is coming to the table. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent out a very conciliatory, nice, constructive tweet, and President Trump responded to that. We’ll see that this is how this works," Navarro said.

However, Navarro did mention India’s high tariffs, saying, "We know that on the rare side, they have the highest tariffs of any major country. They have very high non-tariff barriers.
