Soon after a thorough search, this was declared a hoax. Now, the residences of actors Trisha and S Ve Shekher have also become targets fresh threats.

Security has been tightened in Chennai after Chief Minister Stalin received a bomb threat. After receiving the information, bomb disposal squads along with sniffer dogs arrived at the spot, after a check it was declared that nothing suspicious was found. The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) headquarters, along with actor Trisha and S Ve Shekher's residence also received bomb threats. After the stampede at a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) rally in Karur which led to the deaths of 41 people, the Chennai house of actor-turned-politician Vijay received a bomb threat Sunday. A bomb disposal squad was deployed with checks carried out inside and outside the residence, according to PTI news agency.Vijay, on Sunday, announced financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh each to the families of the deceased victims, and Rs 2 lakh each to those who had been injured and were undergoing medical treatment in the hospital. On the work front, Vijay and Trisha worked together in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo. Trisha also appeared in a special song in Vijay's GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). Meanwhile, Vijay will be seen in Jana Nayagan directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. The film stars Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in the lead roles, alongside Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani.
