Keanu Reeves To Return In Constantine 2 SOON! James Gunn Drops MAJOR Hint On Sequel At DC

Keanu Reeves might just return as John Constantine soon. The sequel to the 2005 film seems to be on track and DC Studios co-head James Gunn is being involved in the development. The Superman maker has

now dropped a major update on Constantine 2 leaving fans excited. Constantine is a supernatural superhero movie also starring Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf, and Tilda Swinton.

Constantine 2 is on track

James Gunn, in a new interview, revealed that he knows about a possible follow-up to the original film which was led by Keanu Reeves. During a podcast with BobaTalks, he said, "I’ve discussed it on and off. I've discussed it with Keanu. I think that’s a great group of guys. I like all those people a lot, I think they’re talented. But I have not read any script yet."This comes after Reeves had earlier this year expressed desire to return with Constantine 2. The actor stated that he had "pitched" a treatment for the sequel. He tod Inverse, "We’ve [along with director Francis Lawrence] been trying to make this film for over a decade, and we just recently put a story together and pitched it to DC Studios and they said, ‘OK.’ So, we’re going to try and write a script."

Constantine 2's development

Constantine 2 has been in development for several years at a very slow pace. An early draft of the script was finished in 2024, but the story development continued till this year. As per reports, Reeves has so far been a part of the scripting process alongside director Francis Lawrence. Reeves recently revealed that a new draft of the script had been finished.
