Akkineni Nagarjuna Opens Up About Equation With Sons Naga Chaitanya, Akhil: 'I Don't Compete With Them'

Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently basking in the success of his recent films Kuberaa and Coolie which won him immense appreciation from fans. Apart from being known for his exceptional acting prowess, Nagarjuna is known for juggling his personal and professional life with ease. In a recent interview, Nagarjuna opened up about his bond with sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil.

Akkineni Nagarjuna Talks About Bond With Sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil

Talking about his equation with his older son Naga Chaitanya and his young son Akhil he said he doesn't compete with them “My father and I became very good friends, but there was that line of respect. And it’s the same when it comes to my equation with my sons. We are friends, but there’s also that respect where, for example, if I come into the room, they will stand up and greet me. We also work out together, but I don’t compete with them.”

He also spoke about his admiration for his daughters-in-law, Sobhitha Dhulipala and Zainab. While Naga Chaitanya tied the knot last year with actress Sobhita Dhulipala. Akhil got married to Zainab this year.

Talking about Sobhita, he said, “She’s just fantastic. We talk about books and music. Right now, she wants to grow a garden in Naga’s house. I have a keen interest in gardening too, so we talk a lot about it. It’s a very nice relationship and it’s like having a daughter at home. We have two daughters now — Zainab (Akhil’s wife) and Sobhita.”

Nagarjuna's 100th Film

Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently gearing up for his 100th film, tentatively titled KING100 directed by Karthik Ra. In the show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi, “KING100… It has been in the making for 6-7 months. Ra Karthik is directing the film; he’s a Tamil director who narrated the story to me almost a year ago. It will be a grand film. Now that Coolie has been released, I will start working on it, and my next release will be KING100. It’s a nice action, family drama movie."It is reported that Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni are likely to appear in cameo roles in the film.
