At a press conference for his upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2, Ajay said, "I dont think vo offensive hota hai jitna apko pyaar milta hai fans se utni zada apko mimickery bhi milti hain, utna zada vo apke sath hasi mazak bhi karte hain, positive bhi hota hai, negative bhi hota hain, toh I think it's all part of the game, usko aap seriously le hi nahi sakte hain."(Translation: “I don’t think it’s offensive.
