Kurukshetra Trailer: Animated Mythological Series On Mahabharata Features Epic Battle Of Duty And Dharma - Watch
Yet another retelling of the Mahabharata is on the horizon with the Netflix series. Conceptualized and created by Anu Sikka, Kurukshetra is set premiere on October 10 in an array of languages from English,
Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai and Indonesian. The first trailer shows the saga from the perspective of 18 warriors. Check out the trailer below!
Kurukshetra animated series sets up India’s greatest dharmayuddh
On Instagram, Netflix India posted, "Dharm aur adharm ke iss mahayudh se itihaas gawah hai, aur ab aap bhi. Watch Kurukshetra, out 10 October, only on Netflix." This reimagining of India’s greatest epic finds the mighty warriors, the Pandavas and the Kauravas, wrestling with moral dilemmas, decisions, and destinies that forever changed the course of history.

The trailer shows each character's internal dilemmas, from Arjun's anguish at fighting his family and Draupadi’s bid for justice to Duryodhan’s power trip and Bhishma Pitama’s wisdom. And of course, there is the serene Lord Krishna, who proclaims, "Iss yuddh mein na koi mitra hai, na koi shatru (This war has no friends or enemies)." The animation is handled by the talented team at Hitech Animation. The series director is Kaushik Ganguly, and the dialogues are penned by Vineet Garg. Music for the series is composed by Simaab Sen, and Dadasaheb Phalke Award honoree and poet Gulzar has provided the lyrics. Some of the actors providing vocals for the series include Vinod Sharma, Sahil Vaid, Saumya Daan, and Annamaya Verma. The series is divided in two parts of nine episodes each. The release date of the second part has not been revealed as yet.
