Written and directed by Rishab, the film clashed with Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari on October 2, 2025. However, the film is clearly leading the box office game. Recently, when Rukmini sat for an exclusive interview with Times Now Group Editor-In-Chief Navika Kumar, the actress spoke about the film's mammoth success.

In an exclusive conversation with us, Rukmini said, "We haven't had the opportunity (to celebrate) just yet. It's been a long and beautiful journey of creating a film. Right now, we are promoting it everywhere. As we speak, another splinter of our team is promoting it in other place. We are all sort of spreading the gospel of Kantara everywhere."

The actress further mentioned, "Hopefully, in a couple of days or weeks, we will all get back together and enjoy the success. Reflecting on her character in Kantara: Chapter 1, Rukmini mentioned that Risband and his team wrote the 'beautiful' character in the film. "It's a character that has been a delight to play as an actor. It's been gratifying for me. You will always try and look for roles. And sometimes you get blessed when you are an actor. Kahi roles mein you get to grow as an actor, but also as a person. So, I think this has been one of those roles for me."Meanwhile, Kantara: Chapter 1's box office collection stands at Rs 290.55 crore, as per Sacnilk. The film will soon enter the Rs 300 crore club!
