
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol's Two Much, spoke about the difficult phase he went through after his divorce from first wife Reena Dutta. He shared that it took him almost
four years to recover from the split, which affected him emotionally. He also described his breakups with Reena and second wife Kiran Rao as "traumatic."Aamir Khan Says It Took Him 4 Years To 'Recover' After DivorceOn the show, talking about his love life, Twinkle said, "We have been married for so long, now we are now living vicariously though you because you have a fresh lease at life. Even at 60, you have a romance in your life."Aamir responded, "There are two ways to look at it, You people haven't been through such a traumatic break-up like I have. I was very close Reena and I was very close to Kiran. I mean, 'was' is the wrong word. I still am very close to Reena and Kiran both. So when you are with a person for such an extended period of time, like 16 years... Reena and I grew up together."He added, "When you go through something that doesn't work out it's a hit. And you have to recover from that. It took me four years to recover. His first marriage was to Reena in 1986, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002. Shortly after, in 2005, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and they have a son, Azad. In 2021, Aamir and Kiran announced their separation but continue to co-parent their son.
