Dimple Hayathi, Partner Booked By Hyderabad Police Over Complaint From Domestic Help

Actress Dimple Hayathi, best known for starring in films such as Khiladi and Ramabanam has found herself in a controversial spot, after Hyderabad’s Film Nagar police registered a case against her and her partner

David following allegations of verbal abuse and harassment by a domestic worker.

FIR against Dimple Hayathi, Partner Over Househelp Complaint

The complainant, 22-year-old Priyanka Bibar from Rayagada district, Odisha, has stated that that since starting work at their Westwood Apartments home in Banjara Hills, she faced constant humiliation, denial of proper food, and given excessive workload.Matters escalated on September 29, when Priyanka claimed that a dispute escalated into threats and physical assault.Priyanka claimed in her statement that she was insulted by Dimple Hayathi who said, "Your life is not even equal to my shoes." Priyanka alleged that Dimple and David threatened her, tried to assault her, and damaged her phone when she attempted to record the abuse. She also claimed her clothes were torn during the argument and that she narrowly escaped before approaching the police with help from her agent.

Dimple Hayathi has not yet responded to the allegations.This is not the first time the actor and her partner have faced legal trouble. In 2023, the couple hit the headlines after allegedly damaging the vehicle of IPS officer Rahul Hegde in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills. That incident reportedly began when David accidentally hit the officer’s parked car, following which Dimple Hayathi allegedly kicked the vehicle during an altercation with the driver. A police complaint was lodged.The actress made her debut in the 2017 Telugu film Gulf and later appeared in Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re (2021) alongside Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan. She has also acted in films such as Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, Devi 2 N and Gaddalakonda Ganesh.
