Rajinikanth Heaps Praise On Mari Selvaraj's Bison
Taking to social media, Mari Selvaraj penned a note on what Rajinikanth said to him. He posted "Super, Mari. I watched Bison. The effort and elements you bring to every film amazes me. Congratulations, Mari!" said Rajinikanth, while speaking with the director.Mari Selvaraj, expressed his gratitude to Rajinikanth, stating that he has always shown his support for his films, right from his debut movie Pariyerum Perumal. "Just like Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan, Maamannan, and Vaazhai, he called me to appreciate my fifth film Bison (Kaalamaadan). The superstar called me and Ranjith sir on the phone and praised us from the heart. On behalf of myself and my entire film crew, I express my sincere thanks to him," he wrote on his X handle.The filmmaker, who has carved a niche for himself by creating films that shed light on issues based on case, has also received a significant amount of criticism online for continuing to focus on this. Defending the director and speaking about the importance of making such movies, Dhruv Vikram said, "With regards to Mari Selvaraj sir, he makes these films because of what he has been through. Every director has the right to make art the way they want to. I think it is also important to address this when there's still a social climate like this India and mostly in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu.
