Tara And Akash Director Srinivas Abrol Talks About Budget Constraints, 'Jugaad' While Filming - Exclusive
In a recent conversation, Tara and Akash: Love Beyond Realms, director Srinivas Abrol has spoken about the tight budget and money constraints that came through while making of this upcoming film. He further
mentioned the technical, equipment constraints which altered with the idea behind the project.
Director Srinivas Abrol speaks about difficulties and budget constraints for the film
During an exclusive conversation with Zoom, Srinivas Abrol explained, "Of course we were shooting in a country which is the most expensive in the world. Vaha pe stay, khana and sab kuch itna mehanga tha aur humara limited budget tha. So, bahaut constraints thee. Upar se hum chota crew lekar gaye thee. Then, technically we were constrained in how we were shooting. So that is where the jugaad happened. And yahi filmmaking hai."
(Of course, we were shooting in a country that is the most expensive in the world. The stay, food, and everything there was so costly, and we had a limited budget. So, there were many constraints. On top of that, we went with a small crew. Technically, too, we were restricted in how we were shooting. That’s where the
jugaad came in. Tara And Akash: Love Beyond Realms includes a skilled cast including Amol Palekar, Deepti Naval, and Brijendra Kala. Under the direction of Srinivas Abrol, the film is produced by Whispers from Eternity Films, a venture by Jitesh Thakur and Alankrita Bora, in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC), with support from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. The movie is set to premiere in theaters on September 26, 2025.
