Diwali 2025 just got more special. Veteran Telugu actor-producer Rana Daggubati has announced the release date of his next production film Kaantha, a period drama directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. Starring

Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, this M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar autobiography will release on November 14, coinciding Children's Day 2025.

Rana Daggubati announces Kaantha release date

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Rana Daggubati wrote, "Diwali just got a whole lot more explosive! #Kaantha will be lighting up theatres worldwide from NOVEMBER 14th! When the makers postponed Kaantha

On September 11, filmmakers announced the postponement of the film amid the success of Lokah: Chapter 1. Sharing a note, the makers said, "We've been truly moved by the love and support you've shown since the release of our teaser. It truly means the world to us and pushes us to give our very best. With the resounding success of Lokah, we want Chandra's rampage in the box office to keep soaring. We are putting together something equally special to take you on another incredible cinematic journey. Hence, we've pushed the release date of Kaantha and will be announcing the new release date soon. Until then, thank you once again for standing by us. We can't wait to see you at the cinemas soon." With a budget of Rs 30 crore, the film managed to earn a whopping Rs 300 crore at the box office.
