Times Now
If you've ever found yourself puzzled by the maze of glitzy hospital promotions and awards, you're not alone. At a moment when numerous claims of being “the best” are made, Times Now Network is coming
in with a stethoscope of genuineness. The leading media organization has published its Top Hospital Ranking Survey for 2025, and it’s already creating a stir within the healthcare industry. Launched at the India Health Summit at Taj Palace, New Delhi, on 4th October 2025, this ambitious initiative seeks to provide what the Indian healthcare system fundamentally needs — transparency, reliability, and confidence.
Traversing India's Healthcare Maze
Conducted in collaboration with i3RC Insights Pvt. Ltd., this nationwide survey examines the functioning of hospitals across 16 cities. The goal? To understand the true impact of these organizations — beyond the promotional language and titles.Hospitals were assessed for the first time by utilizing a balanced combination of factual data (60%) and perceptual evaluations (40%). The objective scores were directly gathered from hospitals, covering areas such as NABH standards, innovation, and research, while the subjective information was collected from 3,000 patients and doctors. The survey was conducted across 12 major Indian cities, engaging a total of 3,300 respondents, including both doctors and patients, in a 40:60 ratio to ensure balanced insights from both medical professionals and the public. The sample sizes were distributed as follows: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad each contributed 300 participants, while Ahmedabad, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Kochi had 250 respondents each. To support these perceptual findings, the factual survey reached out to more than 1,500 hospitals across India, gathering verified data directly from the institutions to provide a comprehensive and authentic picture of healthcare performance nationwide.
The Examination of Hierarchy
This isn't an ordinary "Top 10 Hospitals" list. The Times Now Network survey comprehensively investigated numerous vital care areas — cardiology, neurology, oncology, nephrology, gynecology, pediatrics, and more.Nonetheless, it didn't stop there. Fields like orthopaedics, dental health, diabetes care, fertility, and cosmetic surgery within the lifestyle and wellness domains were also thoroughly analyzed. Each hospital was assessed according to key criteria, including:- Cost Efficiency (CE)- Standard of Care- Abilities of Doctors and Consultants- Infrastructure and Hygiene- Imagination and Inquiry- Public Toilets and AccessibilityThese categories are intentional—they reflect what truly matters to patients. In the end, a hospital is not just a building; it’s where life and science come together with optimism.
Data That Heals, Not Just Reveals
Unlike previous rankings that created confusion for patients, the Top Hospital Ranking Survey 2025 aims to improve the transparency and evidence-based nature of healthcare decisions. Over 1,500 hospitals across India were contacted for fact verification, ensuring precision and completeness in each published statistic.Integrating an international dimension, the survey featured a global jury to assess India's leading hospitals against notable international healthcare institutions, measuring them on four primary pillars — Resources, Effort, Outcomes, and Research. The outcome? A ranking that emphasizes not just who is leading, but also the factors contributing to their rank.
A Digital Method for Healthcare Information
