Parasakthi: Makers Of Sivakarthikeyan's Next CONFIRM Film Will Release On Pongal 2026

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi have announced that the shoot of the film has been wrapped. Dawn Pictures took to social media to reconfirm that the film will release in theatres during the Pongal

festivities in January 2026.

Parasakthi directed by Sudha Kongara, marks her first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan, It is her fourth film after Drohi, Irudhi Suttru, and Soorarai Potru.

Taking to its X timeline, Dawn Pictures, the production house producing the film, wrote, "The Start Towards our Final Destination. Parasakthi Deepavali Nalvazhthukkal (Deepavali greetings from Parasakthi) That’s a Wrap for #Parasakthi. #ParasakthiFromPongal #ParasakthiFromJan14." While it was speculated that the had been completed several days ago, the makers of the film have only now officially confirmed the completion of the film. Last month, Dawn Pictures had released a video that had some visuals from the period film. It had then announced that the film would hit screens for Pongal next year. The post read "Parasak(thi) Paravattum. (Let the fire spread!) A stunning ride through history awaits! #Parasakthi in Theatres from 14th January 2026. #ParasakthiFromPongal #ParasakthiFromJan14."

Sudha Kongara has written the film along with Arjun Nadesan, with additional screenplay by Ganeshaa and dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. Aakash Baskaran is producing the film under his Dawn Pictures banner. Dev Ramnath is serving as the creative producer along with MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara as serving as executive producers. Red Giant Movies are distributing the film.
