Delhi AQI Post DiwaliAccording to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 351 as of 4 pm.Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday highlighted that the government’s "effective measures" helped keep pollution levels in the capital "under control" ahead of the Diwali festival. In a statement from the Delhi CMO, she also expressed gratitude to Delhites for their "responsible behaviour" in maintaining low pollution levels and adhering to the Supreme Court’s directive by using green firecrackers.According to the release, the Chief Minister said seeing Delhites celebrate a beautiful and conscientious Diwali after many years filled her with joy and satisfaction. She added that her administration has taken pollution control seriously from the outset. To curb dust pollution, the Delhi government had deployed 1,000 water sprinklers and 140 anti-smog guns across the city, while mechanical road cleaning is being carried out using 70 mechanical sweepers and advanced super-sucker machines equipped with water-spraying systems.(With inputs from ANI)
