Grover’s reality show Rise And Fall recently wrapped up its first season with Arjun Bijlani lifting the winner’s trophy. Arbaz Patel, who finished as the second runner-up, has now spoken out about his experience on the show - particularly addressing comedian Kiku Sharda’s recent comment about some contestants lacking "basic manners.”

In an interview with Zoom, Arbaz shared that instead of publicly calling him “mannerless,” Kiku could have corrected him during the competition itself. “Kiku Sharda could have told us one-on-one to improvise instead of saying we don’t have basic manners outside the show,” Arbaz said, adding that he never disrespected the senior comedian in any way.Clarifying his side of the story, Arbaz explained, “Aap poora show dekhna. Maine kabhi Kiku bhai ke disrespect nahi kiye naki maine kabhi unko galat ya badtameezi se baatein kiye. He further recalled a specific moment to emphasise his respect for Kiku. “Jab Kiku bhai aaye the, main hi woh ladka hoon jo unke bag leke jakar rakkha tha. Agar aapko wahan lage ki hamare mein basic manners nahi hai toh aapko wahan par bolna chahiye ki Arbaaz bata ye jo cheez hai aap galat kar rahe ho, toh hum sudhar lete.”(When Kiku bhai came on set, I was the one who carried his bag and kept it for him. If you felt we lacked manners, you could have told me there itself that I was doing something wrong, and I would have corrected it.) For the unversed, earlier in an interview with us, Kiku pointed out Aarush Bhola and Arbaz not helping him during a task in the show and said, "When I didn't see the basic courtesy, I felt that the game can't be so big and so important that your basic manners and basic humanity can't disappear. According to me, that is wrong. So I got emotional about that thing."
