earthquake of 3.2 on the Richter scale struck Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang, according to the National Centre for Seismology on Monday.There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties in Arunachal Pradesh. According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at 03:00 am and the tremors had a depth of 10 km."Earthquake of Magnitude:3.2, Occurred on 22-09-2025, 03:01:17 IST, Lat: 29.06 & Long: 94.45, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Upper Siang, Arunachal Pradesh, India," the NCS posted on X.
Earlier today, an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 had hit Myanmar, according to NCS. "EQ of M: 3.2, On: 22/09/2025 02:06:12 IST, Lat: 25.15 N, Long: 95.68 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Myanmar," the NCS posted on X. Tremors were felt in Meghalaya on Sunday after a 4-magnitude earthquake hit Bangladesh. The earthquake happened near Meghalaya's border with Bangladesh at 11.49 am Indian time. There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties in Meghalaya. Last week, the northeastern region of India witnessed several aftershocks after an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 hit Assam on September 14. Five tremors epicentred in Assam were recorded following the massive 5.8 earthquake. A tremor of 3.1 was recorded at 11.49 pm on Sunday, followed by another of 2.8 magnitude at 1.52 am and a third of 2.4 magnitude at 3.27 am, all with a depth of 5 km and epicentred in Udalguri. The northeastern states fall in the high seismic zone, leading to frequent earthquakes.
