Musk said that the robots will be central to Tesla's long-term growth, marking a shift beyond its traditional focus on electric vehicles. In addition, the robots are designed to perform tasks up to five times more efficiently than humans. Tesla's Optimus robots are supposed to be identical (or as close to) humans in form and function. Their main focus will be on handling all the repetitive tasks or the physically demanding ones. Musk said that these robots will take on different roles, like in industries like healthcare, household, and manufacturing.
