Jaya Bachchan and Kajol displayed their bonding and closeness during the ongoing Durga Puja celebrations at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal. The Mukerjis invite celebrities and devotees to join the family to make the festivities memorable. Like each year, Mrs Bachchan offered prayers to Maa Durga on Saptami.

The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani matriarch wore an off-white and golden embroidered saree. She paired her outfit with a pearl necklace and dainty earrings. Mrs Bachchan and Kajol stole the limelight with their enthusiasm and candid talks. In one of the viral videos from the pandal, Kajol could be heard admiring the veteran actress’ saree, saying, “Main aa rahi hoon aapki closet raid karne ke liye.”

Mukerjis celebrate Durga Puja at family pandal in Mumbai

On September 27, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Tanishaa Mukerji and Sharbani Mukerji joined Ayan Mukerji in unveiling Maa Durga’s idol at the pandal. The cousins got emotional as they would be celebrating their Durga Puja without Ayan and Sharbani’s fathers, Deb and Rono Mukerji, who passed away earlier this year. On Soshti, Kajol shared pictures from the pandal and wrote, “The unveiling .. such an emotional moment .. to step on the pandal after this past year and all our losses, somehow it was dearer and at the same time so tough to do.. we miss them all.”Celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Rupali Ganguly, Vatsal Sheth and Ishita Dutta offered prayers at the Mukerji family’s Durga Puja pandal. The celebrations will conclude on Dussehra with the immersion of Maa Durga.
