House Of The Dragon Season 3 wraps filming
Fan accounts posted Instagram Stories from several crew members of the HBO Max series confirmed the fantasy adventure series had wrapped up. This means both A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon will be releasing in 2026, with a slight gap. The third season of HBO’s House of the Dragon began filming in England at Leavesden Studios and now moves into the post-production and editing phase. Interestingly, the cast and crew have not travelled to Spain to film any scenes.New cast members for House of the Dragon Season 3
Joining main cast members Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, and Olivia Cooke on the third season are actors James Norton as Ormund Hightower, Tommy Flanagan as Ser Roderick Dustin, and Dan Fogler as Ser Torrhen Manderly. More new characters being introduced this season include Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Prince Daeron Targaryen, Tom Cullen as Ser Luthor Largent, Joplin Sibtain as Ser “Bold” Jon Roxton, Barry Sloane as Ser Adrian Redfort, Adam Brown as Glendon Footly, and Annie Shapero as Alysanne Blackwood. The third season will have eight episodes, and it is said to open with the Battle of the Gullet. The season is set to adapt around four major events from George RR Martin's Fire & Blood novels. Condal has confirmed the show will be ending with Season 4. Several cast members will not be returning for the final season, as their characters are likely not to survive the big battle in the show. Earlier this month, HBO head Casey Bloys revealed that House of the Dragon Season 3 was releasing “just outside the Emmy eligibility window." The cutoff date is May 31, 2026, so a June 2026 release date is very likely, six months after the premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.Do you find this article useful?
