Telugu youth-centric film Junior film, which marked the on-screen debut of Kireeti Reddy, son of mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy, is set to release on OTT. Directed by Radha Krishna Reddy, the film features the newcomer with Sreeleela. The film also created hype as it marked the return of Genelia Deshmukh to Telugu cinema after several years.

It has been reported that Junior will stream in Telugu on Aha, from September 22 onwards.Meanwhile, the Kannada version will be available on Namma Flix. There are also reports that the movie might arrive on Amazon Prime Video on the same date, but official confirmation hasn't been made yet.

Junior stars legendary actor V Ravichandran as Abhi’s (Kireeti’s) overprotective father. His relatioship with his father isn't all well. One day their strained relationship takes a dramatic turn when Abhi discovers an connection between his father and the head of the software company where he’s interning. Genelia returns to Telugu cinema with Junior. The actor's recent film, Sitaare Zameen Par, with Aamir Khan, was received well and turned out to be a big hit at the Hindi box office. In a statement on her upcoming films, including Junior, Genelia said, “I truly believe I'm God's favourite child, blessed with a variety of roles in different genres. It's an expression of the pure love and support I receive from my well-wishers and audience, and I'm eternally grateful.”The film’s shoot was delayed for over a year after Kireeti suffered an injury while performing a stunt. This also affected the dates of his co-star, Sreeleela, one of Telugu cinema’s rising star. On the musical front, Junior features tunes by Devi Sri Prasad. The track Viral Vayyari became a viral hit, especially noted for Kireeti’s impressive dance performance, which got him positive reviews. The film's supporting cast includes Rao Ramesh, Achyuth Kumar, and Kiran Srinivas.
