Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG Or OG, directed by Sujeeth’s gangster film which released in theatres in theatres on 25th September is now the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025. Despite opening to mixed reviews from audience, the film has performed well at the box office.

The film has earned Rs 308 crore at the box office, Marking this milestone, the makers unveiled a new poster featuring Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera, clad in a sleek black suit and sunglasses in a stylish avatar. The post by the makers read "No rules. No laws. Only Gambheera’s law. And he’s the ORIGINAL GANGSTER #TheyCallHimOG 11 Days Worldwide Gross 308 Cr+ The Highest Grossing Telugu Film of 2025."They Call Him OG opened to packed theatres and eventually went on to cross Rs 300 crore mark, a feat achieved earlier this year by Venkatesh's Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

At a success meet, Pawan Kalyan confirmed plans to expand the OG universe with a sequel and a prequel. “The reception and box office response inspired me to explore this universe further,” he said.

"It is easy to write a story, but it is difficult to bring it to life on screen. In fact, I was not aware of the full 'OG' story initially. I met Trivikram and Sujeeth after he mentioned his name. Sujeeth told me, 'You will be gangster in a Japanese attire, holding a sword and carrying a gun'. I did not fully understand the story at that time but when I saw my son reading the notes with joy, I realised that there is a relevance to this story for this generation," Pawan Kalyan stated at the event. The film marks Emraan Hashmi’s debut in Telugu cinema and also stars Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj.
