In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Raghav expressed his gratitude and admiration for Aryan Khan’s hard work and passion while directing The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Raghav Calls Aryan Brave for Taking on the Directorial Challenge

Talking about Aryan’s work, Raghav shared with Zoom, “Brave, very brave of him to do that because vo bahut hi zada, vo bahut clear hai apne vision mein, ki mera ye vision hain, maine ye dekha hain or main ispe kahani bana raha hoon aur ye aisi hi hogi aur vo aisa hi hua hain. I mean jo vo vala scene hain, Badshah, ghante ka Badshah vo kon kar pata yaar vo Aryan ki hi awaz ka tha. So that is something which is, he is crazy.”(Translation: “It’s brave, very brave of him to do that because he is extremely clear about his vision — he knows exactly what he wants to create. The scene with Badshah, that crazy Badshah scene — only Aryan’s voice could pull it off. He’s just crazy!”)

How Raghav Got the Opportunity to Work on the Show

Raghav also recalled how he got the offer, “I think it was a very big thing for me that time jab sir ne aisa kuch bola mujhe or vo bahut saal pehle ki baat hai, kaafi saal ho gaye use, when I was hosting a show, that happened then. Sachi bataun toh yeh show maine sirf Aryan ki vajah se kiya hai because kya hota hai na sir ke sath na bahut connection hai sabka, Hindustan mei ho ya bahar ho toh jo hamari families bhi hai, unke sath kuch acha hota hai toh hum celebrate karte hain, kuch alag ho jata hai toh hum uspe dukhi hote hain toh hum log bahut connected hai jaane anjaane mein because you know we are SRKians. Agar Aryan mujhe lightman ke liye bolta toh vo bhi karleta kyuki Aryan ka launch hai, the star of the show is Aryan because, he is coming for the first time and main bhi chahta hoon ki jo mehnat usne ki hai, he has given sweat, blood, khoon paseena ek kardiya usne, ek dedh saal mein uski aankhon ke neeche gadde hogaye the, baal badh gaye the. Uske dekh ke sota nahi tha main, teen teen ghante soke kaam kiya hai usne, toh jo mehnat ka keeda vo toh Ghar se hi aaya hain. So mere liye bahut badi baat hai yaar ki main uss family ka hissa hoon, yeh toh show hai hi aage ka bhi bahut badhiya kaam sir ki vajah se, Shah Rukh sir ki vajah se mujhe ho raha hai life mein, toh main toh bada khush hoon.”(Translation: “I think it was a huge opportunity for me when he offered it. It happened many years ago when I was hosting a show. Honestly, I took this show only because of Aryan. Everyone has a connection with him — whether in India or abroad, we celebrate the good things and feel connected emotionally because we are all SRK fans. Even if Aryan had asked me to work as a lightman, I would have done it because it’s his launch, and the star of the show is Aryan. I wanted to support him because of the effort he has put in — he has given sweat, blood, everything. His eyes had dark circles and his hair grew out because of the hard work. Seeing that, I couldn’t sleep, and he kept working for three hours at a stretch. That hard work comes from his family. For me, it’s a huge thing to be part of this family. It’s a wonderful opportunity, and it’s all because of Shah Rukh sir that I’m getting these chances. I’m extremely happy.”)
