singer Kumar Sanu recently landed in trouble after his ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya made serious allegations against him. In an interview, Bhattacharya alleged that Sanu tortured her and her three kids. She accused her ex-husband of depriving her of food and necessities after he 'ran away' from home. And now the singer, via his lawyer Sana Raees Khan, has sent a legal notice to his ex-wife over defamatory statements.

Lawyer Sana Raees Khan, in an official statement, spoke about the legal notice sent to the singer's ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya. A part of her statement read, "For over 40 years, Mr. Kumar Sanu has poured his soul into music, giving joy to millions and earning love and respect across the world. Hurtful Lies may create noise for a moment, but they can never erase the legacy of an artist who has given a lifetime of music and memories to generations."She further mentioned, "We will ensure that malicious attempts to defame him are met with the full force of the law to protect his dignity, legacy and family honour. Rita Bhattacharya's allegations against ex-husband Kumar Sanu

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Bhattacharya blamed Sanu's sister for their fallout. She even recalled, "He ran away. He even took the microwave and the fans with him. After that, he stopped milk and medicine deliveries to the house, but fortunately, both the milk man and the doctor continued visiting. You don't know how much this man has tortured me and my three children."Meanwhile, the singer' ex-wife hasn't publicly responded to the legal notice yet. For the unversed, the singer got married to Rita in 1980s and their divorce happened in 1994. They have three children: Jiko, Jassi and Jaan Kumar Sanu.
