In an exclusive conversation with Times Now, Rishab Shetty, who is currently making headlines for the massive box office success of recently released Kantara Chapter 1 discussed about his love life and the first time meeting his now-wife Pragathi. Pragathi expressed, "Me and my friends went to watch a movie." They both further agreed that it was indeed 'love at first sight'. "Within one year we got married," Pragathi further added. Featuring Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, and Kishore, the movie acts as a prequel to the 2022 cult favourite Kantara. Both films have been directed by lead star Rishab Shetty. Set in the time of the Kadamba dynasty, it explores the spiritual and cultural heritage of the region, highlighting ancient customs and traditions. On day 6, Kantara Chapter 1 collected nearly Rs 285.18 crore.
