
Suniel Shetty has filed a plea in the Bombay High Court, seeking protection of his personality rights after discovering that several social media pages and websites were using his photos and likeness for
commercial gain without his permission.According to the actor's petition, multiple online platforms have been displaying his images to promote their businesses, including a real estate company and a gambling website. Saraf also highlighted before the bench that fake images of Suniel with his grandchild, Evaraah, have surfaced online, further deepening the actor's concern over privacy and misuse.The plea emphasised that Suniel has the exclusive right over the use of his personality traits, including his name, image, and reputation. Any unauthorised commercial use, the actor argued, damages his goodwill and misleads fans and the public.A single bench of Justice Arif Doctor heard the matter briefly on Friday and has reserved its order. The actor's petition adds to a growing list of celebrity cases in India where public figures are seeking judicial protection against the unauthorised online exploitation of their identity for profit.
